At GO Yoga we believe in the
individual approach. For some it will be the discipline and practice of
Ashtanga Yoga, for others the core strength of Pilates and for many a fusion
of the two created for the unique needs of the individual. Whether beginner
or seasoned practitioner, young or old, GO Yoga has a programme for you.
Led by director Amanda Johnston, a practitioner of over 15 years who is deeply committed to her practice of both fine art forms and is trained to the highest industry standards. Teachers working alongside Amanda are equally trained
and passionate about their practice and teachings. All are at ease working
with groups, individuals or individual needs within groups and are adept
and more than happy to work with injury and special needs. Our teachers
pursue a personal daily practice and seek out ongoing regular training
as in keeping with the traditional Ashtanga Yoga lineage and the teachings
of Joseph Pilates. "Trees are buffeted by winds all the
time as are we. Unyielding limbs get snapped in two in a storm but branches
supple enough to bend withstand the harshest tempests. Tree pose (Vrksasana)
teaches us not to cling to balance but to ride the waves of motion and
stillness."
