YOGA / PILATES (core) FUSION

Based on Yogilates New York

Yoga/Pilates (core) Fusion is a powerful training system for the mind, body and spirit bringing together two incredible disciplines; Ashtanga Yoga & Pilates.

Approximately 70/30% Yoga/Pilates Fusion provides anatomical control and core stability exercises from Pilates along with muscle lengthening & strengthening Yoga postures put together in a fun & dynamic flowing form .  This FAT-BURNING sequence of postures will not only improve your body posture,  increases your muscle tone and help you develop GREAT ABS but also help to de-clutter and de-stress the mind.

Both Pilates & Yoga were developed with the belief that through dedicated practice, one was not only able to create a physically stronger external body and a healthier internal body but was also able to transform oneself mentally and spiritually to a higher plane.

"CONTROLOGY develops not only the muscles of the body, suppleness of the limbs, and functioning of the vital organs and endocrine glands; it also clarifies the mind and develops the will." J. H PILATES

"Asanas have been evolved over the centuries so as to exercise every muscles, nerve and gland in the body... But their real importance lies in the way they train and discipline the mind". B.K.S IYENGAR

Pilates ultimately teaches one how to deliver all movements of the limbs from the core of the body whilst maintaining a stable pelvis. From personal experience I have learnt that with the support from deep torso muscles, the body's 'powerhouse', Yoga postures are more easily attained and held offering ultimate control and prevention of potential injury.

It is for this reason Amanda decided to infuse her personal Ashtanga Yoga practice with Pilates sessions and began a search for a teacher training course that adopted the same beliefs as herself, that Yoga and Pilates work together in a synergistic way.
