NEW TERM DATES

 

Our classes run in 5 week half terms and 10 week full terms. This year we have broken the terms down accordingly to incorporate Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays. It does mean that during the Autumn and/or X’mas Terms you will have two extra classes to make up during this period. See dates below for more info and please do call us in the office for clarification.

SPRING TERM Jan. 5th – 20th March 09 (10 weeks classes plus one workshop week 9th-14th Feb)

SUMMER TERM 23rd March – 14th June 09 (10 classes plus one workshop week 4th-10th May) excludes EASTER HOLS thurs 9th April – Wed 15th April

*Mini X’mas Dedicated Practioners Term: A chance to Up your practice in 4 weeks prior to Christmas (6 classes to be taken over 4 week period – your assigned class + two extras of your choice) 23rd Nov – 19th December

*If booked at the same time, these extra 2 classes may be taken during either term.

Ashtanga Blend  
Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga is a physically demanding system designed to make you sweat! For those looking for the gym alternative, wishing to be physically challenged, while practicing in a moving meditation, reaping mentally calming rewards, then this is the yoga for you! This class takes the basics of Ashtanga and blends them with postures from other Yoga strands to give you a full workout with the stretching all at the same time. Individuals work at their own pace, progressing postures to where they are in their practice. Learn more…

Design Your Own Class...and have fun with friends.  
We understand how busy you and appreciate you are not always able to make the timeslots we offer. So we have devised a class that you create! We offer you the flexibility and luxury of private tuition at regular class rates. Come to us with 5 people or more and tell us what you want to achieve and your level of practice – from complete beginner to advanced practitioner. We will design a class specifically for your group at a regular time that suits you. Classes may be held in the beautiful & tranquil space of the GO-Yoga studio or at your home/workplace.

Jivamukti Inspired Yoga  
Vigorously physical and intellectually stimulating these classes include Vinyasa (flowing asana sequences), hands-on adjustments, Pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation, Sanskrit chanting, Yogic philosophical teachings and deep relaxation. To keep the practice inspiring, asana sequences are ever-changing. with music playing an integral role in the class.
Level: This class is suitable for all levels  
When: Thursdays, 7:00 – 8:15pm

Yoga for Weight Loss  
If you don’t like to run, or find the gym boring, try out our new Yoga for Weight loss. This class is made up of carefully chosen poses to raise your heart-rate, kick start sluggish metabolism, and help get rid of unwanted toxins in the body. This dynamic practice of vinyasa flow yoga (sometimes referred to as Power Yoga), synchronizes the breath with a flowing sequence of postures, some of which are derived from Ashtanga yoga. Vinyasa flow helps develop internal awareness, build heat and explore energizing effects. Watch the pounds melt away, and get toned at the same time!

When: Tuesdays, 8:00pm - 9:15pm

Yoga/Pilates Fusion, General  
This class combines the anatomical control and core stability exercises from Pilates with the muscle lengthening & strengthening of Yoga postures. Put together in a fun & dynamic sequence of postures, this class focuses on improving body posture, increasing muscle tone, and developing strength. A dedicated practice of Yoga/Pilates will not only create a long and lean external body - with abs to die for - but it will also promote a healthier internal body. Learn more…

Private Yoga and/or Pilates Tuition  
One-to-one yoga, much like personal fitness training, is tailored to your specific needs. These 60 or 90 minute sessions allow you to work privately with a yoga teacher (select your favourite one or else we can help you choose), to create a practice that makes sense for your body and your level of expertise. "24 hour cancellation notice required otherwise we will be required to charge you 50%"

When: At the Go-Yoga Studio or in your home/office

Ante Natal Yoga  
Yoga is beneficial during pregnancy as both a physical and emotional support. It significantly helps to integrate the different changes that this time brings. In addition to increased flexibility beneficial during labour, the postures practiced help to relieve aches and pains, boost circulation and help with fluid retention. Your posture will improve as you adjust to the changing shape of your body, and through increased body and breath awareness you will ease back issues, which are common in pregnancy. The class also aims to eliminate any tension or stress that you may be experiencing and promote a deep sense of relaxation and greater wellbeing. This class runs every six weeks throughout the year. Mummy & Me   
A great way to get into shape quickly after childbirth, post natal yoga allows you to workout your body with your new baby. Postnatal Yoga strengthens muscles taxed in delivery, relaxes stiffness from carrying baby, and helps ease the stress of sleep deprivation and other postnatal life changes. Practicing the postures, breathing and relaxation techniques with your baby also helps to develop the close bond between mother and child. This class runs every six weeks throughout the year. Yoga for Stress Management  
This class is designed to help release built up tension that life’s stresses are adding to your body. The body is designed to produce adrenalin when it is stressed, a function that gives us the fight or flight possibility. In our seated office life, however, rarely is that adrenalin released. By staying in the body it builds up into knots and muscle tension. This class focuses on restorative poses that will work the body to release the stress, while the meditation techniques work to calm the mind. * After the first five weeks of the term, GO-Yoga offers a week of workshops instead of the regularly scheduled classes. An array of workshops will be offered that explore specific areas of yoga and beyond. Previous topics include hips & inversions, bandhas, belly dancing and much more. Each full term course includes one free workshop valued from £20 - £80.
