Yoga Basics Fast Track

Weekend Course Sat. & Sun. (3 1/2 hours each day)

When the fear of the unknown stops you... start here!! Do not feel foolish in a yoga class again.
Lecture and practice to help you understand the importance of form and the Ujjayi breath in your practice. What makes this yoga and not a stretch class? Amanda and her instructors will also give you outlines of the history of yoga and its evolution into the Western Culture. This weekend intensive will:
Teach you the foundation, the basics of your yoga practice
Introduce you to yoga breathing techniques, internal body locks & external visual focus - the most important components of your yoga practice
Introduce you to some of the yoga terminology & Sanskrit names
Create awareness of your body's alignment
Generally get you up to scratch in order that you may practice yoga anywhere with any instructor
Advise you on basic nutrition that compliments your yoga practice
Allow you to create tranquility in the mind
